If you add an item from another store to your Zola Baby registry, the default option to receive the gift is the "Direct guests to the store website to buy & ship themselves" option (shown below). For any of these items, we'll take friends & family to that registry to buy and ship those gifts.
When your guest clicks on the “Buy on -store name-” button, they will be prompted to enter and confirm their email address before being redirected to the external site in a new tab. The Zola tab will stay open, reminding them to come back to confirm their purchase!
Your guest should then either add the item to their external cart and purchase, or change their mind, and not purchase.
Once the guest completes their purchase, they’ll go back to the Zola tab to enter their purchase information and mark the item as purchased.
If the guest decided not to purchase the item, then they can come back to Zola to click “No, I didn’t” to release the hold on the item. And not to worry - they’ll also get an email asking them to confirm their gift - if they don’t confirm their gift within 48 hours, we’ll automatically remove the hold.
